First 24 Hours

Leave the bandage on for the time advised by your artist

Once removed:

1. Wash gently with lukewarm water

2. Use unscented antibacterial soap (available @ Jane-Doe Ink)

3. Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel
(No rubbing!)

Moisturise (But Don’t Drown It)

  • Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare or unscented lotion

  • 2–3 times per day

  • If it looks shiny or greasy — you’ve used too much

✔ Less is more

Showering Is Fine

  • Yes, you can shower

  • No soaking

🚫 Avoid:

  • Baths

  • Swimming pools

  • Hot tubs

  • Ocean swims

(Minimum 2–3 weeks)

Things That Will Ruin Your Tattoo (Please Don’t)

❌ Scratching or picking
❌ Over-moisturising
❌ Tight or abrasive clothing
❌ Direct sun exposure
❌ Gym friction on fresh tattoos
❌ Letting pets lick it (cute, but no)

If in doubt — leave it alone.

Sun & Tattoos (This Is Important)

The sun is your tattoo’s worst enemy.

  • No sun exposure during healing

  • Once healed:

    • Always use high SPF sunscreen

    • Sun fades tattoos faster than anything else

Sunscreen = long-lasting ink
